By accessing or using the website at darulquranulkarim.org (the "Site"), making a donation, volunteering, or engaging with any service provided by Darul Quranul Karim ("DQK", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, please do not use this Site or our services. Your continued use of the Site after any modification to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Darul Quranul Karim is a non-governmental organization registered in Kenya under the NGO Coordination Act (1990):

DQK is accredited by the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) for peace promotion and Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) compliance. We are aligned with Kenya Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use this Site for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when completing any forms or making donations
• Not use the Site in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful to DQK or any third party
• Not interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data
• Not use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to collect data from this Site without our prior written consent

3.2 Availability

We aim to keep the Site available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to suspend, withdraw, or restrict access to all or part of the Site for operational or maintenance reasons without notice.

3.3 Accuracy of Information

While we make every effort to ensure the information on this Site is accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that the Site is free of errors. Program details, financial figures, and impact statistics are updated periodically and may not reflect real-time data.

4.1 General

Donations to DQK are voluntary contributions. By making a donation, you confirm that:

• You are the account holder or have the authorization to use the payment method provided
• The funds are your own and have been acquired lawfully
• You are at least 18 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent
• You are not acting on behalf of a sanctioned individual, entity, or prohibited jurisdiction

4.2 Donation Processing

Donations via M-Pesa are processed through Safaricom's M-Pesa service (Paybill: 880100, Account: DQK). Card donations are processed through Paystack. Both services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. DQK does not store card numbers or M-Pesa PINs.

4.3 Allocation of Funds

Unless you specify a particular cause when donating, DQK reserves the right to allocate funds to whichever program or operational area has the greatest need. Where you designate a donation to a specific cause, we will make best efforts to honor that designation. However, if a cause is fully funded or discontinued, we may redirect your donation to a closely related program.

4.4 Receipts

Upon completing your donation and submitting your details through our form, we will issue a confirmation to the email address you provide. This confirmation serves as your donation receipt. For M-Pesa donors, the M-Pesa transaction SMS from Safaricom also serves as proof of payment.

As a charitable organization, all donations are generally considered final and non-refundable once processed, as funds are committed to beneficiaries and programs promptly.

However, we will consider a refund request in the following exceptional circumstances:

• An erroneous duplicate payment was made (same donor, same amount, within 24 hours)
• A technical error resulted in an incorrect charge
• Proven fraudulent use of your payment method

To request a refund, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction at donations@darulquranulkarim.org with your full name, email address, payment date, amount, and M-Pesa transaction code or Paystack reference. All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and processed within 14 business days where approved.

DQK accepts Zakat donations and distributes them to the eight categories of Zakat recipients as defined in Islamic jurisprudence. The Zakat calculator on our Donate page is provided as a general guide only and does not constitute a religious ruling (fatwa). For personal Zakat obligations, please consult a qualified Islamic scholar.

By paying Zakat through DQK, you authorize us to act as your agent (wakeel) in distributing the Zakat to eligible recipients on your behalf. We will exercise our best judgment in identifying deserving beneficiaries in line with Islamic principles.

DQK does not guarantee that any individual tax deduction will be available for Zakat or other Islamic charitable payments. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance on deductibility under Kenyan tax law.

All content on this Site — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, videos, reports, and the DQK name — is the intellectual property of Darul Quranul Karim or its content licensors, and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, republish, modify, or exploit any content from this Site for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. You may share links to our pages and reference our publicly available reports for non-commercial, educational, or news purposes, provided that DQK is clearly credited as the source.

Our logos, name, and brand elements may not be used in any way that implies endorsement, partnership, or association without express written consent from DQK's management.

This Site contains links to external websites and services, including social media platforms, payment gateways, and partner organizations. These links are provided for your convenience only.

DQK has no control over the content or practices of external sites and accepts no responsibility for them. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk and is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to read those policies before engaging with any external service.

The inclusion of a link on this Site does not imply DQK's endorsement of the linked site or its content.

To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, DQK, its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive loss arising from your use of this Site or our services
• Loss of data or unauthorized access to your information due to events beyond our reasonable control
• Errors, interruptions, or unavailability of the Site or payment processing systems
• Any harm arising from reliance on content published on this Site without independent verification

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Darul Quranul Karim and its directors, employees, and volunteers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your breach of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Fraudulent, false, or misleading information provided by you in connection with a donation or any other interaction with DQK
• Your misuse of this Site or its content

Your use of this Site and our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using this Site, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in that policy.

In summary, we collect personal data only for legitimate organizational purposes, do not sell your data to third parties, and implement appropriate measures to keep it secure. You have rights to access, correct, and delete your personal data — please see the Privacy Policy for full details.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Post a notice on our website homepage for a reasonable period
